Smint goes Xtra strong with promotional products
Tue, 10 Mar 2009 12:03
Leading mint brand Smint has announced plans to launch a new Xtra strong range of promotional products.
The Perfetti Van Melle-owned company has unveiled a new eye-catching, sleek black packaging for the product to signify the stronger mint power.
Targeted at male and female customer aged between 20 and 34 years-of-age, the product will come in 8g packs priced at 99 pence each.
The packs will be placed close to till points and at the end of aisles in order to make the most of impulse purchases.
Mark Stangroom, Perfetti Van Melle marketing director, told Talking Retail: "The Xtra strong Smints are a great addition to the brand."
"The new flavour was launched in response [to] consumer demand for mint flavours after the original mint flavour became the best selling power-mint in the UK," he added.
Confectionary brand Nestle recently announced plans to give away 100,000 packets of Polos as promotional gifts.
