Ethical fruit and vegetables manufacturer Hortyfruta has launched a new promotional product range bearing a special Andalusian fresh produce logo.
The company represents the interests of 18,000 fruit and vegetable growers based in the Andalusia region of southern Spain.
To indicate the authenticity of its products, the company has created the Lola logo bearing the silhouette of a flamenco dancer on a red and yellow background, which will be branded on all new promotional products.
Maria Jose Pardo Losilla, managing director of Hortyfruta, told Talking Retail that the company's aim is to "unite Andalusian growers and promote Andalusian fresh produce in the competitive export markets".
He added that the new logo will help consumers "recognise the variety of fresh-produce that comes from Andalusia region which includes tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, green beans, courgettes, melons, aubergines, watermelon, cabbage, lettuce and table grapes".
Biscuit firm McVitie's recently launched a promotion with its Penguin brand in collaboration with the Zoological Society of London (ZSL).
Consumers accessing the promotion stand the chance of winning a holiday to South Africa, while McVitie's will also donate money towards the work of the ZSL.
